What I Will Say vs What I Want to Say to My Boss

I resigned from my job yesterday and I came clear in my mind about my reply if she continues to nitpick and micromanage me “Why aren’t you happy that I’m leaving? The way is open now to find a support worker who will come up to your expectations. Can you leave me alone now for the few remaining weeks? Be assured I really got how unhappy you are with me and my performance.”

What I would like to say but don’t

“I am sick and tired from your nitpicking, micromanaging and discrimination. It affects my health and well-being and I’m done with it. On several occasions you crossed the line and you can be glad that so far I only took legal advice. Stop it here and now for the remaining time!”

And if she doesn’t stop? I still will not say the above but I will quietly start the grievance procedure.

Bullying is recognised as a major cause of stress in the workplace and by law, stress must be dealt with in the same way as any other health and safety hazard.

Tomorrow I will send an email to my Union representative to keep him updated. When we last talked he warned me about what I knew already: that she can make me redundant without reason because I worked there for only one year. The situation is different now.

Since July this year including me 25% of all employees = 13 people left. Only 3 have been made redundant while 10 preferred to find a new job like me.
