Thinking and Thoughts

There is something else what I find interesting, it may sound a bit crazy. I call it the different ways of thinking or different categories of thoughts.

  1. The chatterbox: If I don’t force my mind to be silent then it is busy around the clock but – believe it or not – if you ask me 1 minute later what I was thinking about I could not give you an answer. I don’t pay attention to this chatterbox because I have to focus on the outside world. I might be driving or whatever I am doing, my attention is somewhere else though I am aware of this constant stream of thoughts.
  2. Active thinking: This is for example happening now. What do I want to tell? How to describe something? I am fully aware about my thoughts, the chatterbox is quiet.
  3. Thoughts out of nowhere: They seem to pop into my attention from this constant thinking for a reason. Means again my subconsciousness knows that this is important information for me. Maybe important to add, it happens more likely when I’m relaxed.

I hope I could explain the difference. If you want, let me know if you share my experience or if you have difficulties to understand what I mean.
